See you there & GO HAWKS!
The Hawk Guard is designed to develop movement to music incorporating dance, flag, saber, rifle, and props. This ensemble performs varieties of dance styles including lyrical, jazz, military, and modern. The Hawk Guard also perform at the winter and spring band concerts. The Hawk Guard is an audition‐based ensemble with abilities ranging from beginners to experience, we take all levels.
Auditions are held in May and those dates can be found in the calendar section of our website. If you made the team then you will need to be placed into the Eurhythmics class.
Color Guard is a bit both pageantry and sport. Flags, rifles, sabers, and dance are used to interpret music and entertain audiences. Students condition, train, and rehearse choreography to perform with marching band on the field. Students will demonstrate teamwork, self-responsibility, leadership, and perform at an extremely high level.
Unlike the color guard in the fall marching season, winter guard is performed indoors in a gymnasium. Performances makes use of recorded music, painted floors and scenery. The Indoor Guard competes regionally within the Florida Federation of Color guard Circuit.
The Florida Federation of Color guards Circuit (FFCC) offers a competitive outlet during winter for color guard, indoor marching percussion and concert percussion teams and winds. Our competitive season begins in January and culminates in out circuit Championship in early April.

Sectionals & Masterclass Wednesdays:
These will be announced in 2 weeks in advance, and they are for a grade.
Sectionals are used so that a section can work on specific musical, marching visual, or fundamental task that needs special attention, that has been mentioned by either staff, judges, director or other leadership.
Masterclasses are used to work on large fundamental concepts in your child's playing. Typically, we will bring in someone who specializes on that instrument to give the students a deeper understanding of their instrument. (These will occur either once a month or once a semester depending)
