WELCOME to the Hawk Band Family!! Any organization is only as good as its newest members, and Band is no exception! Armwood has always been a hub for talent, and with strong music programs in our elementary and middle schools – our Freshman class is strong both in numbers and in musical ability. There are many ways in which we try to acclimate students and parents to our Band Program. It is always our hope that our communications are clear and sufficient to convey our happenings, but we know there will be questions that will remain unanswered. Below are a few programs we have instituted to introduce and orient our new Hawk Families. For details on what you can expect as a parent, please visit the Booster page.

J.V. Marching Band Expectations
Important Note:
J.V. status applies only to the marching band season. Once the marching season concludes and the concert season begins, all students are held to the same co-curricular expectations. Concert ensembles require participation in rehearsals and performances outside of the regular school day, and these activities are a graded component of the course.
Every ensemble does have meeting times after school. Before each rehearsal there is a mandatory time for study hall. During study hall students should be working on academic studies, if you are caught up on academic studies then students should be practicing / prepping for rehearsal.
